We offer a wide variety of dishes using the freshest Hiroshima oysters, including our famous “bucket of oysters,” “fried oysters,” “oysters au gratin,” and “oyster ajillo. All of the oysters used in our restaurant are from Hiroshima, but we use different suppliers depending on the purpose of preparation. Oysters for heating with shells: Carefully selected oysters from the Miyamoto Sea in Okimi-cho, Etajima, Hiroshima Prefecture, which are caught in the vast sea area of Hiroshima. We purchase oysters for cooking such as fried oysters, oyster ajigio, oyster gratin, and our specialty, grilled oyster combo.   • Food and service were both excellent! Oysters were very fresh, we kept ordering the fresh ones! The butter-grilled and deep fried ones were all seasoned very well too. They made themselves very clear in their beginning that their English isn’t the best, but the serving staff were friendly all the way through, even when we didn’t book and just walked in (note though we went in at 18:3X and they wanted the table by 19:30). Overall very positive experience!

  • Dropped by Hiroshima Kakidokoro Baketsu Kamiyacho without a reservation and honestly, we got lucky. We started with the oyster lunch set. The sashimi-in-a-bucket was a fun surprise, and the marinated oysters over rice in the bamboo box worked better than expected. With four types of oysters and a couple of small sides, it felt like a proper intro to what they do here. The steamed oysters were the standout. Plump, juicy, and super clean-tasting. I didn’t even feel the need to touch the ponzu. Just straight-up ocean flavour, in a good way. I didn’t think I’d like steamed oysters this much, but here we are. Raw oysters were good, but the six-type oyster platter was where things got interesting. Different preparations, different flavours. The gratin, tomato-based one, and the okonomiyaki-style oyster were my favourites. Rich but not heavy, and each one actually tasted distinct. Service was great. One of us was clearly struggling with an oyster and the staff noticed immediately and helped without making it awkward. Menu has English, and even though communication wasn’t perfect, the staff were patient and used Google Translate when needed. Overall, really solid meal. Everything was fresh, well done, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re nearby and even mildly into oysters, this place is worth stopping by. I strongly recommend!

  • Hiroshima is also famous for their oysters other than okonomiyaki and this oyster restaurant is a gem for seafood lovers! The raw oysters were incredibly fresh, bursting with ocean flavour—clearly the star of the show. Other dishes like the egg roll, chicken nanban, and fried oysters were equally delicious, perfectly seasoned and satisfying. The chicken nanban was especially juicy with a tangy sauce that paired beautifully. The female staff was polite and welcoming, kindly explaining the “1 drink and 1 appetizer per person” rule despite limited English, which we appreciated. Their effort and hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. The environment with soft music being played in the background is also great for a chill session with friends. A must-visit spot for fresh oysters and tasty Japanese comfort food and awesome environment!

  • Fantastic flavor!! Love this place, the oysters are flavorful, grab a beer with friends, enjoy the ochazuke which I recommend! The fleshy white yellowtail collar was also delicious! We didn’t have a reservation but it is packed!

  • This is the first place and meal that felt at the same time authentic and with a tad of that wow factor we were looking for! I took a large seafood bowl with an egg as an extra. My partner took a set of various oysters and sashimi. We both agreed that that has been our best lunch in Japan so far!
